First Aid at Work Requalification Course

This course is ideal for higher or advanced level hazards (e.g: food manufacturers) or where your needs assessment identifies a need to provide additional training, covering a broad syllabus including the recognition and treatment of a wider range of conditions.

 

This course is designed for people who need to review their First Aid at Work qualification. The 2 day requalification course covers the same content as the First Aid at Work - 3 day course but is condensed into 2 days.

 

To qualify for this course you need to have successfully passed the FAW course within 3 years. A certificate will need to be provided on the day as proof of passing the FAW course within the allotted time.

  • Responsibilities of the First Aider

  • Primary Assessment

  • Secondary Assessment

  • CPR

  • Seizures and Epilepsy

  • Choking

  • Asthma

  • Shock and Bleeding

  • Heart Attacks and Angina

  • Stroke

  • Anaphylactic Shock

  • Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries

  • Chest Injuries

  • Burns and Scalds

  • Sudden Poisoning

  • Diabetes

  • Head Injuries

Additional Info

This qualification will be valid for 3 years upon completion of this course. To qualify for this course you need to have successfully passed the FAW course within 3 years. A certificate will need to be provided on the day as proof of passing the FAW course within the allotted time.

 

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
